Senior Mendix Developer

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2–4 years of hands-on Mendix development experience.
  • Proven experience delivering complex enterprise applications using Mendix, including integration with third-party systems and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Mendix Rapid and Advanced Developer certifications preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Mendix architecture, including domain modeling, microflows, nanoflows, security, and reusable component design.

Core Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Mendix Studio Pro, including microflows, nanoflows, and domain modeling.
  • Strong understanding of XPath, JavaScript, and Java (for custom actions and widgets).
  • Experience with Mendix native mobile applications and responsive web app development.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API integration, JSON/XML data handling, and connecting to external databases.
  • Familiarity with Mendix App Store components, marketplace modules, and version control systems such as SVN or Git.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments such as Mendix Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical project tracks.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and build scalable low-code solutions.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills in both Mendix and external system contexts.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
